Le Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging publie une série de huit articles sur l’économie de la démence. Pour Thomas Rapp, maître de conférences en économie de la santé à l’Université Paris-Descartes et associé au gérontopôle de Toulouse, il existe un réel besoin d’études médico-économiques pour accompagner le développement de médicaments en essais cliniques de phase III (à grande échelle chez l’homme), explorer les limites des études économiques déjà publiées, améliorer la conception des nouvelles études et apporter des éléments d’information aux décideurs politiques.
